Cut spending where possible by 1) Look at the budget and how much goes to each different city department and look at the line item spending in each department in Taylor, to see if there are any outliers of unnecessary spending, and 2) Review city contracts to make certain Taylor isn't overpaying for things in relation to what other cities pay. Also - make sure the city is as business and retail friendly as possible to attract more businesses which will generate more tax revenue. And lastly - there should never be empty storefronts, warehouses, or industrial buildings in Taylor because of it's great location and both major interstates running through it. Once these things are addressed, my goal would be to reduce city taxes.
